Hattori Hanzo Shears
Concept to Creation
Request
For their latest booth at a Professional Beauty trade show, the brand wanted a whole new concept for their hanging shear display. As our client for over 10 years, Katherine Frank Creative has worked with Hanzo to design numerous iterations of their custom displays to showcase their exceptional, 100% Japanese Shears.
Rendering
In previous iterations, we produced a bridge-like structure in the center of the booth as well as a floating square display that hung below the client’s oversized hanging logo. While both concepts suited Hanzo’s booth at the time, introducing a massive 20’W x 12’H LED screen video wall meant we needed to create something new. Wanting to complement (and not block) the important content streaming on-screen, while also controlling ever-increasing rigging costs, we designed two new custom-display fixtures. Beautifully internally lit and built with earth magnets, these structures could stand alone and uniquely display the brand’s shears. The new design allowed continuous, uninterrupted traffic flow throughout the booth’s 30’x30’ footprint.
Realization
In addition to the two new custom shear displays we delivered, our creative team helped incorporate a dedicated space for the company’s latest launch, DUOMO, a premium hair color line made in Italy and built for professional hair stylists. Just look at those beautiful graphics. Our ability to modify pre-existing components to fit our clients’ needs is just one benefit of partnering with Katherine Frank Creative.
